Alfredo Rodríguez Trio, led by the Grammy-nominated Cuban-born pianist mentored by legendary music producer Quincy Jones, will kick off the Center for the Performing Arts 2015–16 jazz concerts at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, in The State Theatre in downtown State College.

Ragamala Dance Company, celebrating 23 years of a contemporary approach to the classical Bharatanatyam dance method of southern India, will present “Song of the Jasmine” to an Eisenhower Auditorium audience at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22.

The brass band The Soul Rebels will perform a free concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, as part of the Penn State College of Arts and Architecture artsUP celebration.

Catalyst Quartet, featuring top performers from the renowned Sphinx Competition, will open the Center for the Performing Arts 2015–16 season at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, in Esber Recital Hall, Music Building I.
