Loading Facilities
Two 53' tractor-trailers can fit comfortably at our loading dock (we can accommodate three with advance notice – we must arrange to move a Dumpster to achieve this). The trailers may remain there throughout the production, although the tractors must be moved to facilitate emergency vehicle access. The loading dock is at an elevation of 46" above the adjacent parking lot, and is at stage level. The house has a ramp and a dockplate available for truck access. There are two 12'-0" x 12'-0" loading doors that open into a 25'-0" x 25'-0" receiving area which allows stage access from SL. It is possible to park a crew bus behind the building, adjacent to the loading area. Separate shore power is available through a service hatch near the loading dock.

Stage Rigging
The Fly System is single purchase counterweight system. Each line set has a 1200 lb. capacity and travels from a minimum in trim of 4'-6" to a maximum out trim of 68'-0". All battens are 76’-0” in length and are constructed of 1-1/2” ID Schedule 40 pipe. The house has enough weight to counterbalance each line set.

The stagehouse has 54 line sets, six of which cannot be cleared for use (five orchestra shell ceilings and the cyclorama). Six of the line sets carry their own electrical wireways for in-house lighting, five of which normally carry x-rays for orchestra shell lighting. Any of these pipes may be cleared of their x-rays for use in your production if necessary. Please be aware, however, that the x-rays are our sole source of onstage work light.

Electrics
Console:
ETC Insight 3. The console has 108 submasters and can control 512 channels. The console is normally located adjacent to the audio mix position at the rear of the orchestra (main) seating level, but can also be plugged in at stations offstage DSR and SL. A remote focus unit is also available (with extension cabling), which can be plugged in at the same locations as the console and also in the ceiling slots.

Dimmers:
There are 440 ETC Sensor D20AF (2.4kW) and 11 ETC Sensor D50AF (6kW) dimmers available for stage lighting use. There are 9 ETC Sensor D100AF (12kW) dimmers dedicated to the house lighting system, which may be controlled from the lighting console or from ETC Unison control stations located downstage SL and SR. Our in-house system occupies channels 1 through 490 of the first DMX universe.

Connectors and cabling:
All stage lighting circuits and associated extension cabling use 3-pin stage plugs. The House owns an extensive inventory of stage cabling.

Company Switch:
The electrical disconnect is located in the loading dock area OSL, just outside the stage proper. Available power is 1200 amps per leg, 3 phase AC. The safety switch is fitted with one house set of 4 - 0 cam lock tails.

Lighting Positions:

FOH:

The Auditorium has two ceiling slots.
The front slot provides a 45∞ angle of light at the Plaster Line, contains 43 2.4kW circuits and is normally hung with 36 Strand SL19 19 degree ellipsoidal reflector spotlights using 600W GLA lamps. This slot can wash a 40 foot proscenium opening using 9 fixtures.

The rear slot provides a flatter angle of light, approximately 35∞ at the Plaster Line, has 18 2.4kW and 7 6kW circuits, and is normally hung with 9- 6x22 ellipsoidal reflector spotlights using 1kw FEL Lamps and 18- 10 degree source fours using 750 watt HPL lamps. These are arranged in three washes with nine instruments in each which will cover the 40 foot proscenium opening.

There are 4 wall slot (Box Boom) positions, located directly under each ceiling slot (see attached floor plan for exact location).

The front slots each contain 12 2.4kW circuits and are normally loaded with 12 Strand SL19 19 degree ERS fixtures with GLA lamps. These 12 units are stacked side by side. There are six in each column of lights.

The rear slots each contain 6 2.4kW circuits and are hung with 6 Strand 2215 6x22 ERS instruments using FEL lamps.

All FOH circuits are DMX accessible (channels 1 – 97). DMX inputs are located offstage SL, downstage SR and at the rear of the orchestra (main floor) seating area. Additionally, many FOH circuits may be accessed via a disconnect panel located on the SL wall. Short 3-pin jumper cables are utilized to reach touring dimmer racks. Front-of-house instruments may be removed and replaced with Company instruments if so desired; advance notice is greatly appreciated.

Onstage:
The majority of the onstage overhead lighting is handled via 12 drop boxes which clamp onto battens. Nine of these boxes contain 12 2.4kW circuits and the other three contain 9 2.4kW circuits. They enable the house to use virtually any batten as an electrics pipe. Additionally, there are 6 battens with electrical raceways onstage (see page 5 for locations). The number of 2.4kW circuits on each

3 14 YES
5 38 NO
14 21 YES
22 12 YES
30 21 YES

There are also 15 floor pockets backstage and 5 floor pockets across the apron of the stage. The backstage pockets provide 60 2.4kW and 2 6kW circuits and the downstage apron pockets provide 15 2.4kW circuits.

Fixture Inventory:
As indicated before, the House normally has Strand and ETC fixtures hanging in its front-of-house positions and a full set of striplights on 5 electrical battens onstage for the purpose of general lighting and orchestra shell lighting. All striplights are 4 circuit, 500 watt PAR 56 MFL units. Color can be achieved by utilizing gels in the units. All instruments can be removed if necessary; however, there are no separate worklights onstage.

Sound

The House mix site in Eisenhower Auditorium is located at the rear of the Orchestra (floor) Level, adjacent to the last row of audience seating, approximately 115’ from the lip of the stage (the proscenium is 60’wide). The mix site is open to the seating area, on a raised platform, which is cordoned off from general public access. All cabling from the stage to the mix site must be run through the center of the house, not up a side aisle.

Sound system power is accessed via a safety switch on the stage left wall. Available power is 100 amps per leg, 3-phase AC, which is transformer isolated from the rest of the building’s electrical system. If your show does not carry a power distribution system or your electrical needs are more modest, 120 volt, 30 amp circuits on both sides of the stage are available for your use.

The Eisenhower Auditorium house sound system consists of the following:

Orchestra Pit
The auditorium is equipped with a hydraulic stage lift, measuring 13'-0" d x 60'-0" w, which normally serves as house seating area. The lift may be used as a stage extension or as an orchestra pit. When the lift is used as an orchestra pit, it can accommodate a maximum of 60 musicians, who enter from the basement level. There is a conductor's stand and rostrum, chairs, stools, music stands and lights available with AC boxes in the pit. Access from the stage to the house can be made available when the pit is being used.
Projection Facilities

An independent screen is located 135 feet from the projection booth; it measures 44'x 22' and carries its own side and bottom masking. There are additional ports in the projection booth and a 20 A, 117 VAC circuit is available.
Dressing Rooms

House Management
The House Manager is located Front of House during the performance and will be in communications with backstage throughout the performance on one of the Center’s portable radios which will also be carried by the Center’s technical representative. The House Manager will confer with the event’s Stage Manager at least one hour prior to the performance to confirm the event’s top of show sequence as well as information regarding late seating or other special house needs.
