Kids Connections, which begins one hour before The Adventures of Harold and the Purple Crayon, is free for ticket holders and takes place in the Eisenhower Auditorium Conference Room. Coloring, storyboard murals, and snacks have been prepared for our youngest audience members. Due to space and time restrictions, participation is limited.

Based on a series of beloved picture books by Crockett Johnson, The Adventures of Harold and the Purple Crayon follows the journeys of an inventive young boy. Refusing to be bound by the reality at hand, the resourceful and brave lad uses his imagination and a big purple crayon to conjure the worlds he longs to explore. Enchantment Theatre Company’s original adaptation takes audiences on a wild ride as Harold jets to Mars, joins a circus, and meets a king in an enchanted garden complete with a dragon. The Philadelphia-based theatre ensemble, which has toured throughout the United States and Asia, uses life-size puppets, masks, magic, and music to dramatize stories that have captivated youngsters for more than fifty years.
Audio description, which is especially helpful to patrons with sight loss, is available for this performance at no extra charge to ticket holders.
