The National Acrobats of the People’s Republic of China, a company based in Beijing, has amazed audiences in more than forty countries with its awe-inspiring feats. While the troupe has performed on four continents, its visit to Penn State is part of its debut tour to the United States. The first National Performing Arts Troupe established (1950) by the Chinese government, the acrobatic company features a vast repertoire of crowd-pleasing acts, including “Slack Wire,” “Diabolo,” “Pagoda of Bowls,” “Reverie,” and “Acrobatic Spectacular.”
